The world’s obsessed with fast — fast fashion, fast content, fast everything. Gaman does the opposite.
Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of 我慢 — gaman, we design and curate pieces that are built to endure — emotionally and physically. They’re made to serve quietly, age beautifully, and bring a sense of balance back into daily life. It’s patience, turned into product.
All just to remind you that strength can be still.

most things today move quickly
Products promise immediate results. Work moves faster than attention. Even rest has become something to optimise.
Yet the body rarely follows that pace.
Skin improves slowly. Strength develops gradually. Clarity tends to arrive only when the noise softens.
Gaman began with a simple curiosity: What happens if we move in the opposite direction?
For many years my life moved through airports, studios and unfamiliar cities. Modeling brought remarkable experiences, but also a certain kind of constant motion. Beautiful in many ways, but rarely still.
Along that path I began noticing the quiet spaces that felt different.
A small Japanese store in Williamsburg.
A garden behind a house in Fuerteventura.
Morning light entering a room before the day has fully started.
In places like these, attention changes.
Objects become simpler. Rituals become slower. Care becomes deliberate rather than urgent.
Those moments stayed with me.
The word gaman comes from Japanese philosophy. It describes enduring with patience and dignity. A quiet resilience that allows things to unfold at their natural pace.
Not passive waiting. Calm persistence.
It is a principle that applies as much to life as it does to skin.
Consistency builds skin.
Gaman Living was created as a small practice around this idea. Carefully developed formulas. Objects designed to be used daily and quietly. Rituals that support a slower rhythm of living.
Over time, this project will expand beyond skincare. It will become a broader exploration of calm living through places, observations, objects and daily rituals.
Somewhere between design, nature and attention.
If this way of thinking resonates, you are welcome to follow along.
Some journeys are best taken slowly.
With appreciation,
